Petit Planet has full character customization, but it is split across two menus: the initial character creator and the Dress Up app. The creator handles your base look; Dress Up handles outfits, hair, makeup and accessories.

What you can change

The Dress Up app covers:

  • Skin tone
  • Hairstyle
  • Eyes / eye style
  • Makeup
  • Headwear
  • Costumes
  • One-pieces
  • Tops
  • Bottoms
  • Socks / tights
  • Footwear
  • Hand, face, handheld, back and ear accessories

The exact creator options at launch are not fully published. The beta data includes 359 clothing and hair/makeup records, which gives a sense of the variety.

Outfit categories, briefly

Category What it is Notes
Costumes Full-body outfits Usually cannot be combined with other pieces

Tops Shirts, jackets, sweaters Combine with bottoms
Bottoms Trousers, shorts, skirts Combine with tops

Where clothing comes from

  • Glenn’s Goods — Dough, daily rotation.
  • Loomix Mart — Footprint / Loomi.
  • Starsea Call — the game’s pull system.
  • Prize Kiosk — Bazaar Jelly.
  • Giftarium — Omni-Vouchers.
  • Neighbor rewards — bond levels, keepsakes, events.
  • Story / default — the starting wardrobe.

Check the clothing catalog for the recorded source of each item. The source column is more reliable than the shop icon.

How to plan an outfit

  1. Pick the silhouette. One-piece or top/bottom? This determines what you can layer.
  2. Choose a palette. Two or three colors is usually enough. The catalog records colors for each item.
  3. Add one statement piece. A hat, a back accessory or a patterned sock. Do not fight the whole outfit for attention.
  4. Check the shoes. They anchor the silhouette more than most players expect.
  5. Save the full look. The Dress Up app lets you switch quickly; use it.

What not to do

  • Do not buy a costume for one accessory. Check whether the piece is sold separately.
  • Do not ignore hair and makeup. They change the character more than a hat.
  • Do not spend all your Loomi on one outfit. Loomix Mart rotates; there will be another.
  • Do not assume a beta item is launch-available. Most catalog records are pre-release.
