How to catch Flat Rock Crab
Use the Shellfish Tongs. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.
- Equip the Shellfish Tongs and search the intertidal zone along the beach.
- Approach crabs slowly. They scuttle away if you rush, and some hide under broken seashells or coral branches.
First catch: the creature is added to the Omnidex. Offer it to Mors at the Omni-Gallery to put it on display and unlock its Omnipedia entry.

Season: Year-Round. Time: Daytime. Weather: Any Weather. If two of those tags are restrictive, check the creature tracker before you set out.

The flat rock crab got its name for its flat appearance.
Some scholars believe it evolved smooth claws to better scrape algae off reefs.
As the crab matures and grows in strength, these smooth claws become deadly weapons for hunting small fish and invertebrates.
