How to catch Hingebeak Shrimp
Use the Shellfish Tongs. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.
- Equip the Shellfish Tongs and search the intertidal zone along the beach.
- Shellfish are mostly stationary. The Pearl Oyster is the notable exception and can move.
First catch: the creature is added to the Omnidex. Offer it to Mors at the Omni-Gallery to put it on display and unlock its Omnipedia entry.
Where and when to find it
Habitat: Intertidal Zone. Distribution: Islet Specialty from Taffeh Zone T31 — this is an islet specialty, so plan it into a Starsea Voyage rather than a planet sweep..
Season: Year-Round. Time: All Day. Weather: Any Weather. If two of those tags are restrictive, check the creature tracker before you set out.

When the Hingebeak Shrimp moves, it intermittently does a "stuttering" motion. This unique way of moving makes it look like it's doing the robot dance on mechanical hinges, hence earning it the name.
Some research suggests that its "neurotic" nature actually stems from its highly sensitive perception. At the slightest disturbance, it will start its "performance."
