How to catch Ornate Rock Lobster
Use the Shellfish Tongs. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.
- Equip the Shellfish Tongs and search the intertidal zone along the beach.
- Shellfish are mostly stationary. The Pearl Oyster is the notable exception and can move.
First catch: the creature is added to the Omnidex. Offer it to Mors at the Omni-Gallery to put it on display and unlock its Omnipedia entry.

Season: Year-Round. Time: All Day. Weather: Any Weather. If two of those tags are restrictive, check the creature tracker before you set out.

The ornate rock lobster is a clawless lobster that can grow to enormous sizes.
During molting, it consumes its old shell to replenish needed calcium.
If other lobsters are present when this happens, the discarded shell may even trigger fights.
