Quality and star rating both affect the sale price. MAX-size catches have a glowing aura.

Use the Shellfish Tongs. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.

  1. Equip the Shellfish Tongs and search the intertidal zone along the beach.
  2. Shellfish are mostly stationary. The Pearl Oyster is the notable exception and can move.

First catch: the creature is added to the Omnidex. Offer it to Mors at the Omni-Gallery to put it on display and unlock its Omnipedia entry.

Habitat: Intertidal Zone. Distribution: Islet Specialty from Taffeh Zone T31 — this is an islet specialty, so plan it into a Starsea Voyage rather than a planet sweep..

Season: Year-Round. Time: Nighttime. Weather: Any Weather. If two of those tags are restrictive, check the creature tracker before you set out.

The unique compound eyes of the Peacock Mantis Shrimp give them super-powered vision. In other words, the world looks like an unbelievably vibrant and dazzling wonderland through their eyes.

Because they see things so differently, these shrimp can use their body colors to visually send "encrypted" messages to their buddies.
