How to catch Striped Hermit Crab
Use the Shellfish Tongs. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.
- Equip the Shellfish Tongs and search the intertidal zone along the beach.
- Approach crabs slowly. They scuttle away if you rush, and some hide under broken seashells or coral branches.
First catch: the creature is added to the Omnidex. Offer it to Mors at the Omni-Gallery to put it on display and unlock its Omnipedia entry.

Intertidal Zone · Ciliopagurus strigatus
Striped hermit crabs can grow much larger than common hermit crabs.
Therefore, compared to other hermit crabs, they are more enthusiastic about hunting sea snails for a more comfortable "house."
