Petit Planet Neighbor Unlock Guide: All 12 Invites
The Petit Planet neighbor invitation flow: encounter islets, the second meeting, the visit quest, capacity and every known unlock location.
In this guide
There are two kinds of neighbors in Petit Planet: the five who settle through the story, and the twelve who must be met and invited. This guide is about the second group.
The short version: meet them twice, host them once, then ask them to move in. The long version has a few important details.
The four-step invitation flow
1. First meeting — the encounter islet
Invite neighbors first appear on a specific encounter islet in a galaxy zone during a Starsea Voyage. Examples from the Final Beta:
- Dorjelang — Hexia H83, Duskshore Islet
- Isaki — Hexia H83, Insect Chorus Islet
- Tika — Taffeh T31, Fruit-Laden Islet
- Harpeno — Taffeh T31, Patrol Crossing Islet
The encounter is not guaranteed. You can explore a zone and still not see the neighbor. Sail again later.
After the first meeting, the neighbor appears in the Starcove at Bond 1, with a basic view of their loves, likes and dislikes. You cannot invite them yet.
2. Second meeting — anywhere
After the first meeting, the neighbor can appear on any islet, not just their original encounter islet. This is the step that unlocks the visit option.
This is the most common point of confusion. If you have met a neighbor once and cannot invite them, you do not need to return to the same islet. Keep voyaging.
3. The visit and mini-quest
Once the second meeting is done, invite the neighbor to your planet. They usually have a short mini-quest. Complete it, and they jump to Bond 3. At that point, you can ask them to settle if you have capacity.
4. Settle
Settling requires neighbor capacity. The Final Beta increased capacity at Luca Arbor levels 17, 24 and 28. The exact starting capacity is not stated in the official materials we reviewed, so check the current number in-game before promising a neighbor a room.
Base story neighbors do not use capacity.
Known unlock locations
The table lists the recorded encounter locations. “Undocumented islet” means the islet name was not recorded in the Final Beta data we reviewed, not that the neighbor is unavailable.

| Yunguo | Cultivator | Hexia | During the Memo Task When the Planet Grows: Welcoming a Visitor from Afar. |
Some neighbors are introduced through story tasks rather than an islet. Yunguo, for example, is tied to the memo task “When the Planet Grows: Welcoming a Visitor from Afar.” Read the availability column carefully.
What to prepare before inviting
- Capacity. Check the Luca Arbor level and current neighbor count.
- A gift. Have one loved item ready so you can start bond immediately.
- A house. Neighbor houses need upgrades and materials; the basic house is enough to settle, but not to decorate fully.
- Time. The mini-quest is short, but the second meeting may take several voyages.
Should you invite everyone?
Eventually, yes, if you like their story or talent. Early on, prioritise neighbors whose talent solves a problem you have:
- Yunguo — waters crops, then adds a Crop Garden.
- Tika — weeding help, useful if wildgrass is a nuisance.
- Dorjelang — a daily hat box, a cosmetic and collection source.
- Harpeno / Msafiri — voyage-oriented talents.
- Isaki — bug-catching support.
The exact talent levels are on each profile. Do not invite a neighbor just to fill a slot if you are not going to use their talent.
Common mistakes
- Waiting for the same islet on the second meeting. After the first meeting, any islet can work.
- Inviting without capacity. The game will not let you settle, and you may waste the visit.
- Ignoring the Starcove. That is where the neighbor’s profile, gifts and journey live.
- Assuming a removed beta neighbor is gone forever. Frostia and Nerina were absent from the Final Beta but are still officially revealed characters. Their launch status is unconfirmed.
