How to catch Anchovy
Use the Fishing Rod. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.
- Cast the Fishing Rod into the right water: rivers and lakes for freshwater fish, coastal waters for saltwater fish.
- Wait for the nibbles, then strike when the line bites down.
- Common freshwater fish and gray saltwater fish can usually be caught straight away after the bite.
First catch: the creature is added to the Omnidex. Offer it to Mors at the Omni-Gallery to put it on display and unlock its Omnipedia entry.
Where and when to find it

Pelagic Zone · Engraulis ringens
Anchovies are difficult to keep fresh after being caught, and so for a long time, they were overlooked for their perceived low economic value.
However, once fish oil production and canning preservation technology improved, anchovies suddenly became an important commercial fish.
Though for the anchovies themselves, this "status upgrade" might not be something to celebrate.
