How to catch Bay Salmon
Use the Fishing Rod. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.
- Cast the Fishing Rod into the right water: rivers and lakes for freshwater fish, coastal waters for saltwater fish.
- Wait for the nibbles, then strike when the line bites down.
- Common freshwater fish and gray saltwater fish can usually be caught straight away after the bite.
First catch: the creature is added to the Omnidex. Offer it to Mors at the Omni-Gallery to put it on display and unlock its Omnipedia entry.

Omnipedia
Coastal Reef Zone · Salmo salar
Bay salmon are known for their vibrant orange flesh, which is quite the standout trait among fish.
This color comes from the astaxanthin in their diet, with higher levels resulting in brighter orange flesh.
However, this can't be the only criterion for judging the flavor of the salmon.
