Quality and star rating both affect the sale price. MAX-size catches have a glowing aura.

Use the Insect Net. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.

  1. Equip the Insect Net and approach the creature at eye level or on the ground.
  2. Most insects can be caught with a simple net swipe; slow down if the species is skittish.
  3. Check tree trunks, flowers, shrubs, crops and aerial spaces — the habitat column tells you where this species spawns.

First catch: the creature is added to the Omnidex. Offer it to Mors at the Omni-Gallery to put it on display and unlock its Omnipedia entry.

Habitat: Aerial. Distribution: All Regions.

Season: Year-Round. Time: Nighttime. Weather: Rainy. If two of those tags are restrictive, check the creature tracker before you set out.

If we only go by the name "Blue Riverdamselfly," it's easy to assume that any damselfly that fits the "blue" description belongs to the same species.

In reality, there's the blue riverdamselfly and the azure damselfly — two completely different species that look almost identical. Theoretically, the easiest way to tell them apart is by their native habitats. However, as geographical boundaries for species exchange blur, genetic analysis is the most reliable method.
