How to catch Redmoon Snakehead
Use the Fishing Rod. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.
- Cast the Fishing Rod into the right water: rivers and lakes for freshwater fish, coastal waters for saltwater fish.
- Wait for the nibbles, then strike when the line bites down.
- Higher-quality saltwater fish need a slow reel-in. Keep the line from snapping instead of holding the button down.
First catch: the creature is added to the Omnidex. Offer it to Mors at the Omni-Gallery to put it on display and unlock its Omnipedia entry.

Habitat: Waterfall Downstream. Distribution: All Regions.
Season: Year-Round. Time: Nighttime. Weather: Any Weather. If two of those tags are restrictive, check the creature tracker before you set out.

The redmoon snakehead refers to the red variant of the Channa nox.
With an elegant body and brilliant red coloration akin to a blood moon, it can be kept as an ornamental fish.
At the same time, it is just as delicious as the black variant, doubling as a great dish. Acing two fronts with one fish indeed.
