How to catch Gray Angelfish
Use the Fishing Rod. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.
- Cast the Fishing Rod into the right water: rivers and lakes for freshwater fish, coastal waters for saltwater fish.
- Wait for the nibbles, then strike when the line bites down.
- Common freshwater fish and gray saltwater fish can usually be caught straight away after the bite.
First catch: the creature is added to the Omnidex. Offer it to Mors at the Omni-Gallery to put it on display and unlock its Omnipedia entry.
Where and when to find it
Habitat: Coastal Waters. Distribution: Islets — this is an islet specialty, so plan it into a Starsea Voyage rather than a planet sweep..
Season: Year-Round. Time: Nighttime. Weather: Any Weather. If two of those tags are restrictive, check the creature tracker before you set out.
Omnipedia
Juvenile and adult Gray Angelfish have drastically different appearances. The distinctive crescent pattern it's known for only appears in juveniles. Because of the marked difference, they were once thought to be two separate species.
