Whiptail Stingray - Petit Planet Creature

At a glance

How to catch Whiptail Stingray

Use the Fishing Rod. The exact approach depends on the creature’s category and, for shore-dwellers, its species type.

1. Cast the Fishing Rod into the right water: rivers and lakes for freshwater fish, coastal waters for saltwater fish.
2. Wait for the nibbles, then strike when the line bites down.
3. Higher-quality saltwater fish need a slow reel-in. Keep the line from snapping instead of holding the button down.

Where and when to find it

Habitat: Coastal Waters. Distribution: Islets — this is an islet specialty, so plan it into a Starsea Voyage rather than a planet sweep..

Season: Year-Round. Time: All Day. Weather: Any Weather. If two of those tags are restrictive, check the creature tracker before you set out.

The whiptail stingray can be trained to display dog-like, friendly behaviors such as accepting food, receiving hugs, and even rolling over for belly rubs.

However, watch out for the venomous stings on its tail while giving it scritches.
